The only thing that even remotely resembles a Camaro is the grille and headlights. The rest of the body looks like a conglomeration of panels that were laying around the shop. Ugly......

Yuk. It is actually a GXP or Dodge Body that they stuck that ugly front end on. No panels match any part of a Camaro.

I mean what more do you guys want? I think they came as close as they could. Does the rulebook allow all the flaring that actual car's panels does have? For the actual shape of the car and the hood's look, I think they hit it pretty good.

Bickel worked with GM and all for years, got sideways with the NHRA, and 5 Star came, slapped a Camaro clip on a GXP and NHRA approves it as the ProStock body.

Bickel's stuff is on CompPlus regularly ... looks much better to me.

I am glad that I started following drag racing when you had the best and most realistic cars out there late 80's, early 90's when you had the old Firebird fighting with the Mustang/Probes, then, the Formula Firebird's f\ighting with the Avenger's. The best looking cars.

To be fair, Stanfield's paint really does not do it justice. I always felt dark colors on the camaro look better. Look at Castellana, that's one bad ass camaro, on the track and off.

John DeFlorian driving this ADRL mountain motor 800+ cube Extreme Pro Stock ran this weekend in Baytown,Texas.
This is an "all paint" paint job. The car is owned by Kevin Bealko. Part of a 2 car Camaro/GXP teamhttp://www.dragracingonline.com/agent1320/2012/Images/BK_JohnDeFlorian-Camaro-adrl-XPS.jpg

Please tell me why when they talked about it on ESPN3's friday qualifying, they said it is an all new car then? They said the chassis and everything is new because this body will not mount the same way a GXP does. You can't just reskin an old pontiac chassis.

The car does resemble a camaro pretty well just as anyhing else on the track matches its street counterpart. A GXP does not have a roof line the way the camaro does with the center part lower than the outsides. The lower doors on a GXP are flat where as the camaros match the contour of the body.

I think the car is awesome, and get this.. it's actually still in production, unlike Pontiac!

i thought the stratus was the ugliest car ever entered in the history of pro stock but it kinda grew on me to the point that i really like the body style so the camaro is gonna take some gettin' use to !!
