INDIANAPOLIS – With three of five Pro Stock qualifying runs in the books for Monday’s 57th annual U.S. Nationals, Greg Stanfield holds the provisional No. 11 position with a best of 6.680 seconds at 206.54 mph.
Stanfield, the defending race champion, produced his quickest lap in the Nitro Fish/Coffman Tank Trucks GXP in cooler Saturday evening temperatures and improved upon his 6.706 at 206.54 from the day’s first session.
“That was a little better run, but we’re still a little slower than what we want to be,” Stanfield said.
Two more qualifying laps Sunday will set the 16-car line-up for the Labor Day eliminations.
