Here's a blast from the past, I recently ran across a 25 pound cardboard drum of Sox & Martin "Gold Dust"powdered rosin from 1971. If you weren't around back then drag racers used to apply it to the starting line, do a few burnouts through it then race, the precursor to today's traction compound that they spray on the track.
