Snyder Ready to Wrap Things Up in Dallas

After a week off, Mick Snyder and the Snyder Motorsports race Team are headed to Dallas , Texas for the O’Reilly Fall Nationals. This will be their first trip to the Texas Motorplex with their Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels\Powersource Transportation sponsored Top Alcohol Funny Car. Snyder, however, did drive here when he was racing in the Jr. Drag Racing league.

“We would really like to finish out our National event schedule on a positive note. We have had some really bright spots, but we have had some rough times too. Last time we were in Texas ( Houston last year) we qualified #1 and runnered-up in the event. Maybe this time we can get the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels\Powersource Transportation car in the winner’s circle,” said Snyder.

Snyder, who has had back-to-back-to-back top Division 3 championships, currently sits in 11th place nationally. With a good showing here he could move into the Top 10.

“Eleven years ago, I came here for the Jr. Drag Racing Nationals. I got down to three cars and out of that come my first sponsorship. Mark Adelizzi, owner of Flatout Gaskets , got us our first sponsorship and we have been with him ever since. So many of the people that sponsor this car have been with us so long they are really our friends. I would love to repay them by getting the Knoll Gas – Torco Racing Fuels\Powersource Transportation car in the winner’s circle this weekend.”

Qualifying begins on Friday at noon and continues at 2 PM that afternoon. On Saturday they will get 1 more shot to make the 16 car field at 1 PM. Final eliminations begin at 4:15 that evening
and continue on Sunday.
