[coverattach=1]Mick Snyder and the Snyder Motorsports Race Team will head a couple of hours south this weekend to Indianapolis , Indiana for their third race of the 2009 season. Snyder, who has run some really good numbers so far, including a career best 5.54 in Gainesville and a track record 5.57 in Valdosta , Georgia , is looking to pick up his first win of the season.
“The two semi-final finishes we have this year really aren’t a true reflection of just how well this Powersource Transportation car is running. We just haven’t been able to put the runs together during eliminations. In Gainesville , we had ignition problems all weekend and in Valdosta we had other issues. That is what makes this game so tough. The littlest thing can be the difference between a round win and loading up for home. If it was easy everyone would do it,” said Snyder.
“Looking back, last year at this time we were making our first passes with our brand new Powersource sponsored Spitzer funny car and the clutch. It’s amazing how far we have come and accomplished since then, and how well Dad has this car running in such a short amount of time. At the end of the weekend I would like nothing better than to show Skip and Barb Bakos of Powersource Transportation what it is like to be in the winner’s circle.”
Qualifying for the event will begin on Friday at 5 PM, continuing with two runs on Saturday at 1 and 5 PM. Eliminations begin at noon on Sunday and continue throughout the day. For up to date coverage of the event please log onto dragracecentral.com.
