I am not at the track so i can not make a judgement here, but for those at gainsville, can you verify where the three pro mod's started to get loose before crashing this weekend? Jay Payne, Tim Tindle and another one I believe.

Not there either but according to DRC ...
"Jay Payne drove through a lot of side-to-side movement, almost crossed the centerline, then danced up on two wheels before he kissed the wall at the 1000-foot mark. Smith had already gone past Payne by the 330-foot timers ." Sounds like it was just a bad run form the start.

"Harold Laird crossed the stripe first and won the drag race, but kissed the right side wall in the shut down area."

The 3rd crash was George Landis - He blew the bottom out and skated all over in his own oil. Crash had nothing to do with track conditions.

Tim, sometimes it doesnt really matter if the track is slippery or super sticky, if the pro mod cars get out of that groove they get really unpredictable because of the suspension and the ammount of power going through it.

Landis' issues started at about 100' out with... I still can't believe that car didn't turn over.

I think Jay Payne may stayed in it a little longer than he wanted. His car started to move out of the grove towards the centerline just past the 330'.

Laird's car smacked the wall in the shutdown. I beleive he said the chutes came out and the rear-end came off the ground at the same time and smacked the wall with the right side of the car.

I thought the track was more than tricky throughout the weekend.

Sorry to revive an old post, but I'm only just getting to reading some of the threads while I was away... I didn't watch the ProMod session, but I know the right lane felt loose in my S/C... And I wasn't the only one that had said that... So if my S/C felt loose, what would the ProMods be going through?

CJ, are you originally from Arkansas? I think I met you years ago in Florida and you told me that--or else my feeble mind has you confused with somebody else.
