Schumacher the first to 330mph.. Twice! (1 Viewer)

Makes me wonder what it could have been with another 320 feet of track!

I was in the stands when he did it the first time (Phoenix 99) and I remember looking at the scoreboard thinking "That can't be right". I got him to autograph the ticket stub when it became apparent the run was legit.

PLUS I had the under on how long it would take them to get to 330 at 1,000ft ... I said under 5 years. What do I win?

While Kenny Bernstein may be the"King of Speed" for being the first over 300, Tony is the Emperor..LOL

Holy crap! Congrats to the whole US Army team! WOW!

Here's a fun stat.
1999 Phoenix he ran 330.23 to break the 330 barrier at 1320
2012 Concord he ran 330.23 to break the 330 barrier at 1000

Notice anything in common? Good Job Mike. I did not think they would be the first ones to do it.

that is a rather amazing stat - one that goodyear among others is probably
interested in.
in the best interest of the DSR canopy; if it in fact becomes acceptable to
use, at least the same team made these performance gains
with their standard cockpit - would hate to think of the implications had
the piece been in place as the team once again passed 330mph
