I am sure for some people this won't be good enough......
I'm ready to watch Spencer Massey live up to his promise. Another example of the class of Don Schumacher, in my opinion.
We're all human. You know the expression, "When I was young and stupid . . . . . "
If Massey is true to his word, he'll win new fans. If he isn't he has had his chance.
Antron, and his team, won the championship. Congratulations to them. Now, it's up to Massey to demonstrate that he has learned and to be as professional as his boss and as Antron Brown, his teammate.

Thx John,Nice story but it still isnt the whole truth. No matter how many times the story is changed and try to get out of the hole, people there Know what was really said, verified by many not one. NHRA needs to get involved. Sounds also like Spencer didnt get what he wanted and threw a temper tantrum and wanted to take his toys and go home. But then again that could be some what of a substitution of what really happend lol
So you are going to hold this over his head for his entire career right? What more can be done? The NHRA has no place and maybe they never acted cause they knew Don would and he did. What more do you want done? Sounds all worked out to me.
just because it all sounds worked out doesnt mean it is,of course they will say that,of course they wouldt say what really went down, how would it look,Spencer would prob be done in racing, and the reverse decision that was made wouldnt look good for the team. I have really good info, but i just cant go there. And not just from 1 person.
It's not a big secret but not worth destroying Spencer any further than he's already done to his self. I don't think he should have been allowed to drive this year but that's just my opinion. Shame on Don for allowing this to pass with just a slap on the hand.
Please, what do you want done? He said his sorry's, he's going to therapy. Everything that could be done to correct this situation looks like it's going to be done. Don't think I'm a huge Massey fan because in all honesty I would support anyone with his ability. He is proven, his resume is fantastic in terms of the sport, and that is something that can't be ignored. You may of wanted another driver in that seat, but think about what he has done in just his 3 short years of racing. Focus on what it takes to be a winning driver in the class. Spencer really doesn't have much competition when you think not only of his ability, but how he's within the top 3 for r/t's week in week out if not # 1.
I'm tired of these "unnamed sources" that people such as you hint at. If I wanted to find out the truth I could make a couple calls as well, but I really don't care enough nor is Don Schumacher much of a truth fabricator . Take his actions out of it as they will be dealt with and corrected for the future, but back to my main point. Does Spencer deliver to any owner in terms of ROI? Most definitely. He brought reaction time back to Top Fuel in 2009 and in 2012 every other driver caught on to it. Spencer does all he can that is in his control and is an excellent hire because of that alone.
