Race #5
In the SCEDA Series Meziere Enterprises Electronics class it was Andrew Madrid taking the win over Tom Bayer Sr. Bayer went red, handing Madrid his first SCEDA victory. By winning the event, Madrid qualified to take part in the Pacific High Reach Shootout at the end of the year. He also got a nice payday of $1000 and a SCEDA Big Buy trophy. In the semis, Madrid defeated Don Gatlin and in the other semi, Bayer defeated Rob Strong. The Arias Pistons Dial Rite was won by Don Gatlin who ran 7.843 on his 7.84 dial to take the $70 prize. Cal Automotive gave $50 to the first person to go red in eliminations and today this award went to Greg Tremain who went red by .001 the first pair out.

In the SCEDA Series Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels No-Electronics Class, it was Dick Krieger taking the victory over Marvin Roles. Krieger qualified for the year end Pacific High Reach Shootout, got $816, and won a SCEDA Big Guy Trophy. In the semis, Krieger defeated Chris Soliz and in the other semi, Roles defeated Mike Agnew. The Arias Pistons Dial Rite was won by John Joines who ran a 14.252 on his 14.25 dial to take the $140 prize. Cal Automotive also gave $50 to the first competitor to go red in No-E as well and today it was Jack Shippy winning the $50. Ron Miller and West Coast Super Cops had put up $100 to anyone who could cut a perfect light in eliminations both days at our last event. However, no one claimed this on Sunday, so it carried over to this race and in the third round of SCEDA Series Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels No-E, it was eventual semi finalist Mike Agnew claiming the prize with a perfect light to defeat CW Hoefer.

Race #6
In the SCEDA Series Meziere Enterprises Electronics class, it was Dave Meziere of Meziere Enterprises taking the victory over “Dead-On” Don Gatlin. Gatlin went red by .003 handing Meziere the win, but he would have been tough to beat. Meziere was .005 on the tree and ran 8.120 on his 8.10 dial. By winning the race, Meziere qualified for the Pacific High Reach Shootout at the end of the year, won a nice $1000 payout, and got a SCEDA Big Guy Trophy. Being the runner up on the day, Gatlin was still able to take over the points lead and is now 1 round ahead of Rob Strong. In the semis, Meziere had the bye run, but still managed to put together an amazing .002 package. He was .001 on the tree and ran 8.101 on his 8.10 dial. In the other semi it was Gatlin defeating Alan Hoefer. The Arias Pistons Dial Rite was won by “Dead-On” Don Gatlin who ran on his dial with an 8 to take the $70 prize. Cal Automotive once again gave $50 to the first competitor to go red in eliminations and today that went to Danny Fuentes. The top 5 in points with 4 races left are Don Gatlin, Rob Strong, Brian Fischle, Mark Kirby, and Sam Boyd.

In the SCEDA Series Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels No-E class it was Scott Joines taking the win over Dick Krieger. Krieger went red by .022 handing Joines the easy victory and stopping Krieger’s round win streak at 11. By taking the win, Scott Joines qualified for the Pacific High Reach Shootout at the end of the year, got $720, and received a SCEDA Big Guy Trophy. By being the runner up, Krieger took over the points lead and is now dominating the class. In the past four events the worst that Krieger has done is a quarter finals finish. During this 4 race span, he has a win, 2 runner ups, and a quarter final. In the semis, Scott Joines had the bye run, but still put together a .009 package. He was .008 red and win 10.701 on his 10.70 dial. In the other semi, it was a rematch of Saturday’s final and the outcome was the same too, Krieger defeated Marvin Roles. The Arias Pistons Dial Rite was won by Ken Plouffe who ran 12.444 on his 12.44 dial to win the $180 prize. Mark Miyashiro ran a 10.194 on his 10.19 dial in the Arias Pistons Dial Rite, but Plouffe had the better reaction time and that was the tie breaker and gave Plouffe the money. The Cal Automotive Sponsored $50 award for the first person to go red in eliminations went to Dan Hermes who went red by .027 in the first round against Craig Hoefer. The top 5 in points with 4 races left are Dick Krieger, Jack Swanson, Dwayne Eastridge, Peter Berkuta, and John Joines.
