ROWE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BIG IN GRAND BEND
(7-21-2007) GRAND BEND, ON – After suffering his first opening round elimination in all of 2007 at the CARS RV & Marine & Motorsports Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Torco Race Fuels in Edmonton just two weeks ago, Danny Rowe is looking for a major triumph during his 2nd drag racing visit to Canada this year.
“We’ve got the ‘do whatever it takes’ attitude at this point,” explained Rowe. “We’ve got to make a move in the points right now and start showing what we’ve got. Everyone on the team is working hard and I know we have the right tools and people in place to win races; we’ve just got to put it all into motion this weekend at Grand Bend.”
The fifth stop on the IHRA Knoll-Gas Motorsports Nitro Jam Tour in Grand Bend, Ontario marks the second of three events in Canada as well as presents Rowe with another opportunity to race on his home soil.
“We’re always excited to race in Canada and this is no different. Home is home and anytime we can entertain the hometown fans and offer our sponsors some great exposure in front of the spectacular crowds we see at Grand Bend Motorplex is good for us.”
There is a lot of racing left to be done in 2007, but every round counts and that’s one thing that Danny Rowe’s Unfinished Business operation truly understands.
“All of this hard work is bound to pay off eventually. We’ll keep chipping away at our goals and something good is going to happen. Both Jimmy [Rector, crew chief] and I will be ready this weekend to step up and do what we have to do to win. That’s the bottom line; it’s time for us to put this new Camaro in the winner’s circle for all the people that support us and all our fans. I think we’ve waited long enough.”
