I have pictures he took of my race cars from well over 30 years ago back in the Drag Scoop days at OCIR and Irwindale. Time flies when you're spending money.

I had lunch with Kommel last week, but I don't think he knew it was me! Or maybe he just didn't care!

Always the best pics though. Have a fair amount of them all over my office/shop. Even bought one for a catalog cover.

Bill,

I thought you looked familiar, but old age is killing brain cells. How many years has it been since I've seen you? You coulda spoke up. Reehl did stop talking once or twice.... :D

Congratulations to people who know how to do things right!

I'm fortunate to consider both Dave and Richard as friends. Very few people know how much they've done for others behind the scenes or how hard they really do work.

The sportsmen racers can vouch for them being on the line in the wee hours of the morning, and I can tell you that I've never been able to stay up later than them as they process the photos in the middle of the night.

It's a rare case where good guys don't always finish last!

From humble beginings at OCIR the former photo editor of Drag Scoop, my old roomie has done pretty good for himself. Blaine Laux started the phrase "Get your shyt shot by Shute"

Congrats guys, your work is the standard by which others are judged. Just think, a large number of your current subjects were not born yet when you started. Funny how we aren't getting any older, at least mentally.
