always wondered about the petroleum storage facilities adjacent to IRP on east side. a little digging reveals raceway terminal that receives product from the
buckeye pipeline coming down from the north. more google searching reveals that terminal can store and possibly also blend products. one of their maps show a
delivery location just to SW, which when looking again, turns out to be a huge CSX rail yard. i'm guessing they supply all the diesel for the locomotives. plus possibly
might also fill tank cars with other petroleum product/s? ....... actually there's a few petroleum companies there including marathon and enterprise products.
