POMONA, Calif., Nov. 16, 2008 -- Peggy Llewellyn turned in one of her quickest elapsed times Sunday in her short season aboard the R2B2 Motors Buell NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle, but it wasn't enough to keep up with Eddie Krawiec in the first round of the season-ending Auto Club Finals.
After qualifying 15th at 7.146 seconds, Llewellyn turned in a quarter-mile lap of 7.116 seconds at 182.70 mph on the bike prepared by Matt Guidera's Rocklin Motorsports team. Krawiec's winning time was 7.012 at 189.20. Krawiec went on to win the POWERade championship.
"I had a good run said Llewellyn, of San Antonio. "That was the quickest we've been all weekend. Matt and the crew made some changes after our run Saturday. We just needed more time to figure it out. But I can't complain about anything. I just want to get ready for next year."
