Proud of NHRA and the announcing staff, sellout Sonoma, 75 year NHRA anniversary

Wow, is that true? I was there last year and those grandstands were still open.

Random question but...is there any track where the grandstands are further away from the track (not counting 4 wide tracks that are only running 2 lanes)? I get it, they're confined due to the multi-track layout but I was just curious.

The only thing even remotely close to Sonoma was maybe the Topeka pit side grandstands.

Never went, but Indy tower side used to look very far back in the day; correct me if I’m wrong but I think they moved them closer in the last 20 years?

I go to Sonoma every year, and usually sit in the bleachers, tower side, and those were awesome, so close to the track! To be honest though, having to do the grandstands this yeat really wasn’t bad, you still see and most importantly feel everything! Bonus, no more 10 minute walk to the pro pits!
