Problems sideline Llewellyn on race day

Peggy Llewellyn hoped Saturday’s two qualifying sessions would allow her team to solve the problems that prevented their R2B2 Motors Buell from making the field on Friday, but the motorcycle refused to cooperate and Llewellyn fell short.
“It was being unruly,” lamented Llewellyn. “It wasn’t responding to anything.”
Her Saturday best of 7.242 seconds at 180.72 mph was 19th quickest.
"It’s very disappointing, to say the least,” Llewellyn continued. “We’ll try and get it fixed and try again in Pomona.”
The final event of the season, the Auto Club Finals, takes place in Pomona, Calif., Nov. 13-16.
