Pro Mod entries for Indy (1 Viewer)

I am admittedly more of a top alcohol fan, but this looks to be a very interesting mix of 24 racers:

Four of six former JEGS series champions -- Josh Hernandez (2007), Jay Payne (2006), Shannon Jenkins (2002), and "Tricky Rickie" Smith (2001) --

Tour regulars like points leader Tony Pontieri will be joined by two-time '08 winner Joe Baker and Bristol champ Steve Engel in the fight for drag racing's biggest prize.

Scotty Cannon, veteran Von Smith, and NOS specialist Mike Castellana also will compete.

"It should be quite a show," said tour organizer and racer Troy Coughlin, who will be back in racing trim at Indy for the first time since his accident on April 27 in Atlanta.

The rest of the field will be filled out by JEGS regulars like Roger Burgess, Raymond Commisso, Mike Knowles, Kirk Kuhns, defending race champion Harold Laird, Taylor Lastor, Shelly Payne, turbo racer Brad Personett, Scott Ray, Danny Rowe, John Russo, Rick Stivers, and Tim Tindle.

Assuming the weather is not too hot, what would a likely bump spot be with this group?

If the weather is right I think we'll see two nitrous cars in the fives, both Jenkins and Castellana. Sorry to go off topic, so yeah I think you could see close to an all five second field, or a low 6.0 as the bump.

Last year I was real pis...ed off, the PM's were told a number of different times they were to come out, this is the Friday or Saturday from memory, then as it rolls around about 5 o'clock, when the Pro Mods should be running, in nice cool conditions, what did the NHRA go and do? They did some clowndown introduction, which should have been saved till the Monday. So instead of seeing what would have been a very quick PM session, I had to put up with some crap. That's when I took a walk into the pits and bumped into Joe, and said "Can you believe this crap" haha.

Wish I was at Indy this year.

Michael that's why the PM's are running after The Fuel cars on FRi/Sat and Sun. They want the cooler conditions plus they know when they'll run without getting bumped.

Pro mod is going to be awesome at Indy this year. A field full of anybody that can win pretty much. Shelly Payne crashed last weekend at the divisional so I dont know if she will make it or not. And I'm not sure what the Iceman will be driving b/c his Black Ice car is only an outlaw ADRL car. Mike C's firebird has been red hot lately, and if the weather is right a high 5 is likely outta that baby. I'd love to be there to see it.

I will be there sat night with a big smile on my face. Cool night time conditions plus a usually good indy track, should net the results we all want. Can' t wait.:D
