Gravity replaces Nitro at the First Annual DRAW Pinewood Derby on August 14th at the DSR pits at Brainerd International Raceway!

Nitro will be left in the barrels on Aug. 14 (Thursday) at Brainerd International Raceway
when gravity takes over at the First Annual DRAW Pinewood Derby to kick off the Lucas Oil
NHRA Nationals. NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series drivers Ron Capps, Jack Beckman and Terry McMillen are among the drivers expected to attend to help “drivers” prepare for the
traditional Boys Scouts style race. The event is open to the public and NHRA members with
proceeds of the $10 entry fee going to DRAW. Time trials are scheduled to start at 6
p.m. in front of the Don Schumacher Racing hospitality pavilions in the pro pit area. Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m.
You may bring you own car to race or use one provided for use by DRAW. All cars must meet
the Boy Scouts official derby rules (PinewoodDerby.org).
For more information: Beth Hyatt ([email protected]) or Rosalee Noble ([email protected])
You may stop by the DRAW Booth on Thursday for additional information. The Booth is
located on Manufacturers’ Midway on the semi with K & N, Lincoln Welding & Holley.
