Oxidizing Gel ???? - WTF

Brain trust on NASCAR Performance said they felt the substance found in Waltrip's intake manifold was a heat activated gel that provided extra oxygen as the engine came up to temperature. More oxygen, larger jets . . . more power for a few seconds.Toyota team was caught (TWICE!) before the car made it to the track.
What was NOT said was if this "gel" disappears when activated - hmmmm

I would say not since they caught them twice after two runs.

Kelly - read my lips! - They were caught twice BEFORE qualifying - the car was seized by NASCAR and they still have it! Waltrip raced his way into the event in one of the Duel 150 races in another backup Toyota.

They took his manifold first, ran the car again and it was the same substance showing up a second time in a second manifold hence the taking of the car. we may be saying the same thing and its not coming out the same, kinda like same difference. LOL He had to have run the car to get caught no??? I dont know squat about nascar stuff. He said in an interview today they took the manifold, ran with another and it showed up again supposedly something coming from the fuel tank( additive??) was causing it, One of the guys said it was similar to nitrous but in a solid or gel state in the manifold plenum. Maybe we should ask the wayne county boys LOL
