Losing Eric Medlin
Sunday at the World Finals
The western swing marathon

Force's accident and the subsequent FC chassis controversey
The Countdown
Antron Brown, a PS Bike Champ, getting a Top Fuel ride.
Wally Parks passing (end of an era)
HD Partners buying NHRA (beginning of a new era)
90% Nitro announced for '08

Mike Ashley's Indy win in the special car

Team Kalitta's rough year

finally a duo in pro stock (Jeg and Dave) that can lock horns with Anderson and Line

The number of drivers that lost rides or are looking for sponsorships. Antron, Angelle, Arend, TJ, Whit, Rivas, Erica, Max and so on.

Melanie going to Funny car

Neff stepping into a car

Renewing the ESPN2 deal. (Not very good)
Rivas getting canned in the middle of Qual.
Russell Suit gets resoved.
PST Suit gets resolved.
Cory MAc starting own team in mid year.
Whit job problems (again)

NHRA starts telling chassis manufacturers that the SFI spec will probably be changed in fuel funny car from .058 bottom frame rail, to .093. And maybe the second worst knee jerk reaction in my memory of NHRA history.

Buzzz, I only know enough about chassis to be really dangerous, so could you explain why that is a bad move? You didn't mention anything about heat treating, just going to a thicker wall tubing. Would that be bad? Does it have to do with flexibility? Just trying to learn a little sumpin'...

What all of you have said so far, and one more thing...

It's okay for grown men and women to break down and cry, both in public and on the phone with friends, when we're happy, pissed beyond words, and when we loose someone that means alot to us, even having met them only in passing.

I've learned this season, that we, as a group, are not machines. We are Passionate about Our Sport and the People in it.

And Agree or Disagree, I'm Proud to think of you all as Friends.

And that is the Most Important Thing any of us can take away from this Season.

boy am I glad it's over, but I can't wait for January
