I haven't checked lately, but there were several of the IHRA AFC racers running Newberry engines and he used to strap on a Roots blower and run a couple of the East-coast IHRA races every year, just to stay current with that combination.

Sorry that he will hang up the helmet, glad he's still going to be heavily involved in alcohol drag racing. When you consider that his 50 victories came against some very good competition - names like Manzo and Anderson and Payne and Cheeseman - it's safe to say he's one of the best ever and that the Stealth team won't be sneaking up on anyone.
