You have to give them at least half of a season........11.
In reality, this has AJ's tune up written all over it. Hopefully for their sake, Morgan has learned a thing or two since attempting to tune his own car, and Team Lucus will have patience and let this one play out.
News flash from NHRA. Safty changes for 2011 will require a mouth guard for pro classes. As teeth and mouth guards provided for NFL players, NHRA has come up with a better design... A Silver Spoon!

I'm no big Morgan Lucas fan; but let's be honest...if any one of us was in his position, wouldn't we be doing pretty much the same thing? Maybe we'd make a few different decisions, but if any of us had a father with deep enough pockets and the money to field a two car fuel team we'd do it. I know I would in a heartbeat.

Forest built his company himself, and earned every penny. Morgan isn't the only one getting $$$, It's spread around quite a bit, in NHRA and many other forms of motorsports.

While many of you chose to put Morgan down all the time, does it ever occur to you that just perhaps he doesn't have the final word on all that has been happening lately???? Who has the money? Who's name is on the team? You may be assured that no final decisions are made without Forrest's approval. So give Morgan a chance. He's doing the best he can. Let's see you guys get thrown into tuning a T/F car and see how well you do!!!
Stay tuned for more news that will be coming about tuners and drivers at Lucas... Folks will find out that the AJ rumors were partially correct --- he will have four cars that will be running his combination...

i give morgan a lot of credit, especially if 2012 plans were in place, to try to
educate himself, albeit an expensive education with parts attrition.
morgan is no different than drivers past and present with family financial backing - there is and has been a lot;
others with parents not riding along side
in the limelight escape ridicule; hardly fair but that's the way it goes.

One advantage that Morgan has over several others who've been similarly situated (e.g. family with enough coin to pay for the ride) is that his mom races. She's not a bad SC racer herself and having her do that has to soften the dinner table conversations.

And using the thinking of a man who has had every worldly thing handed, it's safe to say that your results would probably be the same.
Although everyone might love to be in his position, I can guarantee that it also has it's developmental drawbacks as we have witnessed over the years..
Good luck to the Lucas team. I hope Morgan can finally figure out what it takes to build a winner. All he has to do is look at his dad, and how he built something we all respect and envy!.
