This would be a great race to attend. A team could get hot and leave with 2 Wallys and a Tasty trophy

I thought it was 15k to win 5 ru?
from nhra.com:
The Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge is set up to award bonus points that are to be applied when the Countdown to the Championship begins, but due to the rainout of the special race, bonus points will not be awarded. The cash payouts will be dispersed amongst the finalists as follows: Millican and Capps will each receive $5,000 as the quickest round-one winners, Pruett and Wilkerson will each receive $1,500, and the remaining drivers will each receive a $500 cash prize. 🤷‍♂️

when this mission food thing started it said Winners in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge in Top Fuel and Funny Car will earn $10,000
so i guess beings they didnt run a final in epping that justifies nhra to only payout HALF of the purse with no chance of running a makeup final in bristol
so i wonder where that $5000 went?

This might work out really well for Chad Green. If the Jim Campbell car is a no show, 2 bye runs straight to the Semi's.
2 Guaranteed Dan Wilkerson interviews. 😁

good catch paul, campbell not on list for bristol - if this plays out, i wonder if they'll give chad true singles? or pair him with someone else that counts
towards bristol Q; i would think the later to move the program along.

Hope this doesn't sound unappreciative, but it appears the take from the 2F2T race in Epping resulted in no bonus points and a payout that won't even come close to recouping the cost of one pass. Hardly worth bothering with, even if NHRA had gone ahead and paid the 10 grand. Sure, it'd be nice to say you won this little race among the main race but on the surface, it sounds to me like they did everyone a favor by not continuing the event at Bristol this weekend.

The bonus points from these deals aren't added on until after the reset in Indianapolis going into the countdown, sort of like the playoff points in NASCAR. And they would have made that run anyway for qualifying, so better to get paid a little bit for it than nothing at all.
