You still are razor sharp Larry,I you think it never rains in California. NHRA posted on NHRA.com a picture of the tower and in front the track is flooded. this is a announcement of Friday rain out. that picture was not from this year. the picture shows the Pluming Concepts sign on the far left second level suite, this year it is on the far right and another sign next to it dedicated to to my long time friend and racing partner and owner of Plumbing Concerts Ken Meadows (RIP).
As Trump says FAKE PRESS,

I guess its really not raining??FAKE PRESS,![]()
just put the stowage tires on in and goI'm still trying to be optimistic about Sunday. But if you're of the mindset you can't run a Top Fuel dragster in the rain, you'd be wrong.
If you're into pedal fests, your ship has arrived. LOL
Thanks Mark, I even surprise myself at times after all of the tire shake I have been through in my years of racing. going on 83 my brain still works but my chassis is way out of warranty and ready for the junk yard. You still are razor sharp Larry,![]()
Looking at that shot of the track, I wonder how long it's been since the Pomona non-concrete portion of the track was re-paved? I wonder if it ever will be? It sure doesn't look very good there, but I guess it is still relatively smooth.
2015ish, I remember. Because of the air, that old track still amazes me for the speeds that are run there. That old girl is FAST!Looking at that shot of the track, I wonder how long it's been since the Pomona non-concrete portion of the track was re-paved? I wonder if it ever will be?
