Next Friday the 13th, I'll be joining a busload of guys/gals for a tour of the Old NM state penitentiary in Santa Fe. That place had the worst prison Riot in American History back in 1980 when 33 inmates were murdered! Since then Strange phenomenon has taken place there. The NM Ghost hunters assoc. is organizing this deal, they have a website from a past visit:

Joe, it seems that there are ghost tours in every city, or at least older U.S. cities, these days. I don't have any interest in them, but if I did, I think I would pick something other than that prison to visit. After reading about that riot and massacre, it makes me ill, and I don't have any desire to see a place that something that horrible occured. Obviously you have more curiousity than I do. Here in Orlando, our Universal Studios has an almost 2 month long event called Halloween Horror Nights, and my company has a sponsored team building event for anyone in our department (100+) to go for free on that same Friday the 13th. I passed. Not my thing.

Thanks for the link though. Somehow I didn't remember that prison riot in Santa Fe, and back then I lived in the state next door in Phoenix/Tempe, AZ so I'm sure it was all over the newspapers and TV. I guess I flush bad memories of things like that.

That's great Joe that should keep the old pump percolating like a Maytag washer!
I visited the southern New Mexico mountains and revived interest in re finding an old Spainish Gold mine me and some friends found years ago.
Its not worth much [ played out ] but the Indian slaves killed some Spaniards and dumped them in the shaft and its a real eerie place.
It's the only gold mine I've ever heard of in those mountains and it was located in a volcanic vent .
I kinda want to look around a maybe figure a way to find another one ,vent that is.
Adventure is the elixir of life and I never was one to Knit and unlike the high school kid I was that roamed those mountains going as far as I could in a 47 Nash I will have a Four wheel drive truck to haul my big fat azz around.
