It's my first chance since I am back from a super busy weekend. Congratulations to Spencer and Ron for the quickest passes, although the track was not really providing a back. I was half track for both runs and man; were those cars pulling HARD. You could tell it was a run unlike all the others. This was also my second race ever at 1000ft and my first real attempt to see if it was something I like.
I am into it. I would love to see the cars back at 1320 and some of the teams/drivers I have spent alot of time with would rather go back to a slowed down 1320 to the 1000 we have now, I personally like to say I changed my feelings. As a half track spector, the rush, the noise, the energy, it's all still there. I think anyone sitting between 200 to 800 really cannot tell the difference and miss nothing compared to what 1320 was. I think to best adapt to 1000 a fan needs to be watching from the distance I noted because at that distance you still experience all of the same rush.
I also want to thank Don Schumacher for everything.
