It doesn't look like many of you caught this, but this weekend was the date of the annual Chevrolet Bodine Bobsled Challenge in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Normally, not the kind of thing to raise an eyebrow towards, in the drag-racing society. But …

Two of the competitors in this year's event were Top Fuel drivers J.R. Todd and Morgan Lucas. And Lucas finished second, just behind winner Boris Said.

If nothing else, another example of how drag racing is slowly, but surely … TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!!:D

Morgan was extremely consistent and finished fourth. Todd had a bad first run, a great second run and was the "clubhouse leader" for quite a while.

JR and Morgan did great. Looks like they had fun too. Funny thing is 3 drivers listed on Bodine's website weren't there. Steve Park, Melanie Troxel and Tommy Johnson, Jr. Wonder what happened? Would've been cool to see Tommy and Melanie try out one of those sleds. And Steve's a friend of Tommy's - went to the Atlanta race last year.

Sorry - forgot to include the website address.

Larry,

I thought Morgan finished second overall behind Borris today after the second TV run on Speed. He really seemed to enjoy the precision of piloting a bob, and did quite well.

Cool stuff, I hope more personal (individual driver or pusher support) occurs for the olympic participants..

Justin Barnes who did OCC bikes painted the sleds, and they looked great. Nice to see him furthering his career as well.
