On Saturday July 14th Motor Mile Dragway will host its first Extreme Class race. MMD would like to invite all competitors from the ADRL Independence Drags (scheduled for this weekend) who wish to compete in the following weekend's Extreme Class event to remain on-site during the week.
Due to the tremendous cost of mobilizing, competitors can leave their rigs on site for the week, and can even camp at the facility. MMD will have increased security during the week to accommodate race teams staying on-site, as well as camping and shower facilities. If you would like to make arrangements for remaining on-site please contact Steve Groseclose at 276-699-6379.
Motor Mile Dragway would also like to announce a POTENTIAL purse increase for the Extreme Race. Early car counts indicate that we MAY be able to increase to a 16 car field and to increase the winner's purse from $6,000 to$7,500. Final decisions regarding competition structure and purse increases will be made at the event by track management and will be based on car counts.
Event Times:
Gates open at Noon
Time Trials: 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM
1st Round: 7:00 PM
Semis: 8:00 PM
Final Round: 9:00 PM
Additional classes will be announced to fill time between rounds.
Both blower and nitrous cars are eligible to compete under ADRL Pro Extreme and Pro Nitrous rules and specifications.
