Las Vegas - Neither Clay Millican nor Mike Kloeber expect racing conditions Sunday to be similar to what they qualified in Saturday in the SummitRacing.com Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Millican's Friday night best of 4.581 seconds was good enough for 13th starting berth and puts him opposite Brandon Bernstein (No. 5, 4.506 at 330.63 mph) in the opening round of eliminations.
"It's going to be a crap shoot -- which is fitting for Vegas, I guess," said Kloeber, the team's crew chief. "It looks like the weather front coming in will be cooler and the track will probably be better than it was today."
Millican, like Kloeber, also was in gambling-speak. "It's a good thing we are in Las Vegas because it's going to be a crap shoot for the crew chiefs."
