Mickey Thompson was murdered 20 years ago today. March 16, 1988

At least a jury convicted someone who promised to murder Mickey before it was done.

Mickey was a friggin genius! He was great at everything he ever did.

And it seems the guy that contracted his murder recieved some semblance of justice.

Too bad the guys on bicycles that actually killed Mickey and his wife have never been brought to justice!

Anyone ever read the book about Mickey called "Challenger"? Its my favorite book of all time. It details his early days on the lakes through drag racing, boats, land speed cars and his foray into Indy cars. He was an amazing man.

Found that book in my high school library, and read it cover to cover.

I remember it as a great read. Wonder if I can find it at my local library.
