Does anyone at the NHRA office have a map to look at when they schedule races?

I believe the point he is making refers to logistical efficiency. DOH!;)

I just hope they are not using the Farmer's Almanac to route the races! :D

Depends... Are the Teams running the final Two out of their west coast digs??? If not... Memphis, Ennis, Pomona, Vegas... back to Indy... to restock...

Then Richmond, or Reading and World Finals in Indy...
Richmond being the last cut...

or move richmond to the week after gators and let the final two be route66 and indy...

Believe me... I'd start the whole thing over from scratch...

Point is... Have Finals float EACH YEAR... Doesn't PRO Drag Racing now Live in INDY and Charlotte... and Tenn and OHIO...

Logic and common sense do not have a place in this discussion. Please refrain from confusing this thread with both. Thank you

Memphis and Dallas are 480 miles apart, after Dallas it's back to the shop. Indy for most teams, Michigan for the Kalitta's, N.C. for KB and VC Pro stock teams, Ohio for many of the other PS guys, Georgia for W&K J.

So, if you're going from the shop to Memphis to Dallas to the shop to Richmond to the shop to Las Vegas and then on to Pomona (back to back).

Or the from shop to Richmond to the shop to Memphis to Dallas to the shop to Las Vegas to Pomona What's the difference?

As long as you're going back to the shop on off weeks, it don't matter. Unless you believe that 2x3 isn't the same as 3x2

But when you might have a 2 or 3 day rain delay, which never happens, with a one week interval, the straight path seems more logical. JMHO

You also have to consider that some tracks have other events being run there. NHRA has to work with track schedules, division event schedules, and other sport schedules. It wouldn't make any sense to run Indy if IRL or F1 are in town the same weekend for example.
