Matt Smith

What was going on with Matt Smiths ride? Up at the line twice with problems, didn't look good, maybe just bad luck for the day.

I thought to my self, "Self, don't fall for THAT trick again"!

I don't even remember who he was running against that round but, I felt awful for Karen in the earlier one.

He said that he changed all of the electrical components except for the wiring harness. Probably a wiring issue.

Unfortunately, Karen's deal was her own, no one else's. She should have been ready to go no matter what's going on in the other lane. In fact she should have just staged and relied on the 7 second foul out.

Yep. She still has a job to do on the line but it's rough to see her go down like that when she's chasing the championship.

You are correct in the fact it was her fault. But she was ready for a very long time! That gave her time to think about what was going on and it cost her. When he had a problem she started to think "Do not red light" Ya can't do that and she blames herself.

Here is her quote:

"I waited for him, and I would do it again," Stoffer said. "I was sitting on the starting line thinking, 'Oh, he's not going to run. He hurt his bike. All I have to do is cut a green light.' I figured he would squirt out and then die or something like that.

"That was my fault, 100 percent my fault. I was thinking, and I know better than to think on the starting line."

she was ready along time and Matt Smith is wrong to think that there will not be any QUESTION MARKS around this issue. All mute points cause he outran her, but not to pick on Matt, but understand alot of people think you misled that team

Well I think he was just having a bad day, because he said Arana started right up and didn't wait for them to start and he seemed upset about it, but I don't think they were ever going to get it started. It is a very empty feeling when there is no spark, been there done that. Hopefully he will do better next time. Just my 2 cents.

I didn't mean to suggest Matt did what he did on purpose. Just that is was an unusual distraction - and when there was a problem next run ----who Nelly!

Gary: Thanks for the post - Karen's my favorite Bike Pilot! (after all, Who doesn't love the Gecko?)

I'm not suggesting it either I am just saying that he should not get on the defensive because he should damn well know it looks skeptical even if it's squeaky clean. 1. Could be true issues and I say he did not catch it well enough but the big 2. Low budget, in countdown, wants wins, maybe this will work, similar to the dolphins wildcat lol

Karen is definitely my favorite rider too, hope that she can get the Championship, she would make an awesome Champion for the class. She looked really upset on the top end.

To me, the ironic part was that he complained about Arana not waiting long enough in the next round. After you've picked one person's pocket, don't be surprised if no one else wants to play the game.

I see what you are saying, just never thought of that.

Yeah, but when they interviewed Jr. on the big end he said he not only waited on Matt, but waited to the point of letting him turn the motor over a couple of times before he started.

I've already deleted my DVR, so can anyone else vouch for Jr.'s statement? Did he wait for Matt to turn the motor over a couple of times? If so, I would think that would be more than sportsmanlike.

:confused:It shouldn't be to hard to figure out who is right or who is wrong. Just look at the replay.

If I was Arana I wouldn't have even done a burnout, just fired the bike and lit both bulbs after what I saw against Karen.

Exactly my point. Now there is a war of words and guess who started it.
