That whole family is really a credit to the sport. Very nice people. The last few years, I have made it a point to stop by their pit and watch the girls working on the engine for a few minutes. They are the real deal. No long fingernails there. I was watching them all work on the car in the pits at the Winternationals a few weeks ago, and Doug's wife/Maddi's mom (Christina?) comes over and starts chatting with me. We probably spoke for 20 minutes about the girls, the car, Maddi possibly going to Ron Capp's team etc. What a friendly person she was. It was neat getting some behind the scenes info about how they run their team. The Alcohol pits are more welcoming than the fuel pits because they don't get nearly as much fan traffic as the fuel guys do, so I think they are more appreciative when a fan comes by to watch. I became even more of a Gordon family fan on that day.

She's trying, just needs more funding like everyone else. She'll be at the next race with Spencer Massey in the seat.

I watched Maddi get her license in Brainerd, and I was really impressed. It didn’t have the 2 step in it yet, so she was doing it the traditional way. You couldn’t even tell it was her and not her dad IMO.

It will be fun to watch the new TF team come together and get track ready.

My wife has never been so excited to watch racing. Krista Baldwin is her favorite, but she also really likes Jasmine, and she’s liked Maddi since we watched her get her license in Brainerd.

I think its fantastic that Ron is giving a shot to a sportsman racer who can drive and not just someone with the fattest wallet. I think she could be a superstar in the coming years, I remember her first regional race here in Phoenix she made it to the finals and lost a very close race. Not only that every run that weekend was straight and smooth.
