POMONA, Calif., Nov. 13, 2008 -- Peggy Llewellyn’s Thursday qualifying attempt at the Auto Club Finals at Pomona yielded a time of 7.211 seconds at 181.40 mph, which placed the R2B2 Motors Buell 15th and left Llewellyn feeling optimistic that the problems that plagued the team at the last event in Las Vegas.
“The 7.21 showed progress from the runs at Las Vegas,” she said. “Now we have a baseline to tune from.
“I’m excited. It’s the last race of the season and we want to make a good showing.”
Llewellyn will have three more chances – one Friday and two Saturday – to improve her performance.
