There is a good interview with Lee Beard on Competition Plus today. He talks about how the consulting gig with Cruz Pedregon came about and goes into some depth about converting the team from the 5 disk to the 6 disk. That paid dividends quickly with the big win at the NHRA Finals at Pomona. Cruz has worked out an arrangement for Lee to continue with the consulting into 2023, but on a part-time basis such that travel for Lee is minimized. I always enjoy these behind the scenes type of articles that give us a glimpse into the mechanical side of what the teams are doing.
