LATE BREAKING;NHRA announces new spec 'Digger'

Just in, "in an effort to slow down the Nitro classes, a new, "Spec Digger" class will be instituted for 2011. It will replace Top Fuel, with a similar chassis and powertrain for Funny Car if testing proves successful".

I saw it at Bowling Green in 2008. I felt it was a slap in the face to real drag cars and racers.
I was thinking that they should have had a couple dozen clowns crawl out of it!

Wow, pretty extreme.

It's his money, the thing apparently meets safety regulations to race, I see it as nothing other than a exhibition car. To me I figured it to be a wheelstander.

Heard fans in the stands enjoying it too.

Oh well, whatever, I don't take life so seriously...........
