Koretsky Pleased with Lucas Oil Outing

BRAINERD, Minn. (8/13/06) -- Kenny Koretsky was both pleased and relieved following Sunday's Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway.
Although he was competing in his first NHRA Pro Stock race since October, the veteran owner/driver was happy with his performance as well as that of his Nitro Fish/ISC Racers Tape Dodge Stratus.

"We thought the car ran good, we were happy the car went straight and I shifted at the right times," said Koretsky, who was injured in a spectacular accident near Dallas in October. "The crew did a great job. I feel like we can win again."

Koretsky ran up against one of the category's top drivers in the first round, losing to POWERade Series point leader Jason Line, 6.760 seconds at 203.68 mph to 6.797 at 202.85 mph.

KPK Motorsports appreciates all its sponsors. We couldn't do this without them. Our thanks to: Werner Enterprises, Nitro Fish, OCC, Motel 6, Goodyear, Royal Purple, Champion, Speed Pro, Fel Pro and VHT.
