We're either chickens of a feather, or a couple of very wise men
Okay, Miss Jersey-Texas person....game on! Teach her a lesson, PJ! I'll lend moral support! That was Steve Evans who used to say Kuh-Lee-Ta!!!
No, you are not chickens..........you are a couple of "weenies"!!!
Dave, as I mentioned before in other threads, I think Paul has improved greatly since he began with the NHRA broadcasts, and my little comment wasn't meant to be a big bash...it just seems sometimes that Paul wants to foster a belief in the viewers that he is MUCH more familiar with the drivers and their situations than he really is. It simply seemed kinda strange that an announcer, after the Eric situation, and all the talk and explanations of the "three amigos", would confuse Antron Brown with JR Todd in his repeated references to Brandon's "buddy". I don't think I would have given it a second thought had it just been a passing reference in the heat of battle, but it came up several times.
No malice intended here, just an observation to see if anyone else noticed.
PJ? Oh, PJ? PJ?.......
Thanks, Dave! All is well except Suzie Q is calling me and PJ a weenie...now, THAT's a bash job! It's OK Terry, I wasn't lettin' you have it. I understand what you meant and you're right. What Paul said was a bit odd. Sometimes I just get a little miffed when the only enjoyment certain people (not you) can get is by pointing out other people's flaws.
Dave
So my question would respectfully be, where and how does he get all his info?
And.... he STILL calls Bob Vandergriff, VanderGRITH.
I could go with 3 hours of "Sounds of the track"
heheh....or listening in to racers' conversations on how they get to sleep Saturday night before a race.If it was all from the lanes, I'd be cool with it but really....do we need the sounds of tools?
I enjoy YouTube and the old Diamond P vids...Steve Evans and Dave McClelland and crew...
now they were "The Best in The Business" when it came to drag racing...
That and going out at night for dinner, drinks and conversation. The local restaurants are great for running into people and picking up the "off the record" stuff that helps you know what to expect so you can be prepared and knowledgeable when it does occur.
Of course, earning that respect takes time for the trust to develop.
Just my .02
See you in Houston next week,
Unk
