The storyline is the same everywhere: show me the money.

I'm sure it's the same in all motorsport, but there does seem to be more available in circuit racing. I'm not up-to-date, but last I heard, a Formula 3 seat for a season will cost an incoming driver anything from half-a-million to a million British pounds (currently approx. US$637,000-$1.27million) - and similar for the teenagers in Formula 4.

I don't pretend to understand the economics but I gather the seats are usually all filled. And they race around in front of no one. Beats me.
