[coverattach=1]NORWALK, Ohio, February 3, 2009 - John Deere and the International Hot Rod Association have entered into a marketing and sponsorship agreement that will make John Deere the official equipment provider for the IHRA.
With corporate offices just a few hours down the road from IHRA headquarters, John Deere (NYSE: DE) is truly a worldwide corporate brand. John Deere manufactures, distributes, and finances a full line of equipment for use in agriculture, construction, forestry, and lawn and grounds care; manufactures engines and other powertrain components for John Deere equipment and other manufacturers; and provides credit and other services to customers around the world.
Deere & Company, founded in 1837 (collectively called John Deere), has grown from a one-man blacksmith shop into a corporation that today does business around the world and employs approximately 52,000 people. The company continues to be guided, as it has been since its beginning, by the core values exhibited by its founder: integrity, quality, commitment and innovation.
“We are extremely excited to welcome John Deere to the IHRA family” said IHRA President Aaron Polburn. “To have a company like John Deere believe in the value of the IHRA and the Nitro Jam Series is very refreshing in these difficult economic times.”
