Good fo him. That's a lot of responsibility to oversee the entire opeation and also be the crew chief on the flagship car in the operation. I'm sure the expectations for the Mac Tool car are now very high for the 2018 season and Jim will now have the opportunity to focus 100% on that task. Seems to be very much a stand up and very talented guy, wishing them all the best this season.

I agree with you Jack. That team got really big in a hurry. Now Jim O can focus on getting Doug's sled back in the right direction. Always pulling for that team !

Being GM and crew chief has got to be a ton of work, something I would not want to do for sure. Now with his focus on Doug's car hopefully they can go out and clean house this year!

i would like to see the kalitta camp with a few more wins this year. 20/20 hind site, i wonder if the group bemoans the fact
they parted ways with dave g. a few years ago? he always seemed like quite the team player when he was driving.

Well, good move for him. Hopefully this allows him the opportunity to concentrate on Doug's car and finally get the championship. His career within the Kalitta organization really is admirable..... a virtual poster child for growing up with Nitro - and I've been following it intently probably since the first time he and his brother first watched Scott's car go down the track.

I would like to see more wins and even championships in the Kalitta camp. I love the Kalittas and reality is they have more money then anyone out there really but what dominance they have had has been up and down compared to say the DSR, Force, and in the past Alan Johnson and Prudhomme camps. I love watching the old videos from 1994-1995 when the Kalitta camp just absolutely dominated when Tim and Kim Richards and Dick Lahaie were on board. Back then any time they came to the line the odds were they would most likely win and most likely set top speed and low ET.
