Jim Halsey runs 3.59 1/8 mile on the bottle! (1 Viewer)

No masks. They ain't skeered. ;) Awesome pass; I'd like to see what it would have been run out to 1/4 mile. 5.60/255?

A quarter mile run with the same incrementals would have been somewhere in the 5.5 range. However, whether or not their eighth mile set up would convert easily to a quarter mile set up is another thing.

For reference, these were Stevie Jackson's incrementals on the current NHRA Pro Mod record of 5.643:

.932 2.485 3.710/202.18 4.757 5.643/253.95

From what I have read, the 1/8 mile set up winds the engine tight at the finish line, so it couldn't even get close to 1/4 mile. I have seen these cars w/ 3 speed automatic & they are in high gear around 400', so they must be running "stump puller" gears.
