One of the disappointments in the covid plus years has to be John’s FC. Not sure exactly when he had to let former crew chiefs go but Capps is having a good time with Guido. In 2022, Force won one race I think (this one) and is seldom near the top of qualifying. His number of full pulls has gone down. So forget about his driving, I don’t think he forgot how to drive. He needs a tuneup that works. Amazing the season Hight had last year and in recent years. This is a tough business with lots of competition but with limited success recently, cant you just copy Prock’s setup with Hight to get closer to competitive? Or maybe they don’t want to split the points?

I would think that those 2 FC crew chiefs share information all the time. But even if the cars are set up exactly the same, the parts never behave exactly the same from one car to another. So having another team car to compare notes with is overrated to a large extent. Look at the success of the single-car teams in recent years (see the Torrance team). J. Force is always in the hunt, but they seem to have bad luck on race day. But don't ever count them out.

Read Prudomme's book where he talks about what a big pain in the ass it was working with all his crew chiefs over the years. They even regarded their own team cars as competitors, and would rarely, if ever, share information. It's a very good read.

didn't they divorce many years ago ??

No, Danny Hood and Ashley are still married after - what? - about 10 years?

Robert Hight and John's first daughter Adria (prior to his marriage to Laurie) were married for a few years but they've been divorced for some time because their daughter Autumn is now around 16 years old.

Force had a pretty good day.....he lost in the final in a race where you could have thrown a blanket over all 4 cars.....his team scored a double win in the nitro classes.....and Brittney went low for the race despite a tire roast in the first round. Not bad. I did notice his car doing the watusi a time or two.
