I watched Ruth race here in the Northwest, from the first time I went to the drags in 1968 (8 years old) until he retired
in the early 80s. Thank you for the memories!

Definitely a great racer with a wicked sense of humor. Raced against him in the 80’s. Could listen to him for hours.

The story about the first meeting between him and Buster Couch makes me laugh everytime it comes up. Bet they are laughing about it agian.
He was quite a charactor and a Hell of a Racer!
