JEGS extends sponsorship deal with NASCAR star Kenny Wallace

DELAWARE, Ohio (Jan. 11) -- Officials with industry leader JEGS Mail Order and JEGS.com announced they have extended sponsorship of NASCAR star Kenny Wallace through the 2008 season. Wallace will wear the JEGS logo on his shirt during Speed TV's NASCAR RaceDay and NASCAR Victory Lane television shows and will carry JEGS as a primary sponsor of his UMP Modified dirt car, which competes at more than 40 events around the country each year.

"Whenever I see that JEGS logo and I know I'm a part of that team, it fills me full of pride," Wallace said. "As a driver, the No. 1 thing you need and want above everything else is a good sponsor. I think I have the very best in the business with JEGS.

"They're such a big part of motorsports. Of course they dominate over in drag racing but now they're really reaching out to all forms of motorsports and the reception has been phenomenal. Everyone asks me about JEGS and I'm happy to tell people about them."

Wallace will stay busy spreading the JEGS word in 2008. As a part of the highest-rated prerace and post-race television shows covering NASCAR, Wallace will be a fixture at all 38 NASCAR events in the coming year. He'll also kick-off a crowded Modified schedule in Feb. 5-12 with the 37th annual DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla., the first of 40 or more races he plans to contest.

"Not everyone knows this but most of the big stars in NASCAR race Modified cars during the week," Wallace said. "It's not unusual to see Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, and lots of the other guys out there having fun. It's a great chance to see these guys and hang out with them in a more relaxed environment.

"Two races you don't want to miss is Tony Stewart's Prelude to the Dream race June 4 at Eldora Speedway and the second annual NASCAR Night at Macon June 12 at our place. Tony's race is on pay-per-view and Speed TV is covering our race. Hopefully, we'll put that JEGS car in the winner's circle at both events."

This will be Wallace's second year representing JEGS Mail Order.

"We couldn't be happier with our association with Kenny," said Scott Woodruff, JEGS director of media and motorsports. "He's a wonderful spokesman for our company and a high-energy guy that is a favorite among the fans, who are ultimately our customers. He did a great job for us last year and we're expecting bigger and better things in 2008."
