congrats jeg !! i really cant see anybody beating Jeg for the Title this year. with his closest driving rival connolly on the sidelines, he's the best driver with the fastest car and that combo is leathal.

Jeggie may not be caught. He has as much power as anyone and is the quickest driver out there. My only worry for him is he doesn't have a team car to generate additional tuning data. That may catch up to them by mid-season. If Connolly comes back he'll be fine. If not the Summit cars may pass him.

You caught me Tim! I still miss Jeggie driving for us. That guy is soooo solid in competition. As long as he has the ponies he'll outdrive the Summit cars, Warrens cars and yes, even AJ. The promising development for Roy and Allen is Ricky Jones. That car performed very well this weekend and will afford AJ additional tuning data. Alan proved to be as quick as the field this weekend and was low E.T. at Phoenix. He's got a baaad hot rod!

Actually they kind of do. I believe Ron Krisher is driving Dave's car from last year and is 'borrowing' Dave's crew chief, plus he's using Cagnazzi's motors.

only real competition? ummm, there are 2 red gxp's that have summit on the side of them that run a little good at times. i agree , i think jeggies car wont be beat, we still have the welfare sytem that won him the fake championship last year but he DOES have the fastest car so far this year and he is the best driver, roy and allen are awesome and REAL fast but its amazing there are people that are already putting greg anderson and jason line out to pasture. but hey at least in pro stock there is parity 3 races 3 winners, unlike top fuel boooring. p/s will be great this year hopefully those slow washed up summit cars can give king jeggie some competition

Looks like P/S is a three car run away, T/F 2 cars. Flopper you have 5 cars within 3 rounds. still way early.

In Top Fuel rd 1 6 of the winners were within .018 of each other. The exception were the 15 and 16 cars winning. winners were 16, 8, 4, 5, 15, 7, 3, 11. by the semis it was the 5 vs 8 car and 7 vs 11. final was 5 vs 7. I'd call that parity.

Congrats to Jeg. It's great to see him win and seem to be having fun driving at the same time.

No offense taken Jesse. We have one strong Mopar (AJ) and several mid-pack Mopars. If we win a race on horsepower we win it with AJ. If we win it with a little good fortune there are a few others that could step up. But to win with a little 'fortune' we'd have to get around Jeggie, Greg and Jason...as well as several other mid-pack GM's. That's a tall task. There's no doubt the odds are stacked against us.

If you pick a final round on performance and driving ability I think that final has Jeggie and Allen Johnson in it. Both cars are capable of low event e.t.'s and both drivers consistently cut strong lights in eliminations. And both guys are great interviews and great sportsmen.

Jeggie is not only a phenomenal racer but one of the best guys you could ever meet. A lot of fun to hang around too.

From my point of view the Jeg's boys are some of the classiest guys out there, period.
