Not true. If you watch Clays latest video, Rick says Jeff will “get in” Clays car at least once. Meaning just to make a pass or two, not actually compete.

Davies crash doesn't mean door car guys can't drive fuel cars. I don't know what happened on Davies' run, but many door car drivers have driven fuel cars. I do believe some of Lutz's cars are closer to PM cars in terms of acceleration than Davies' FSS car, which helps.

I gotcha! I'm surprised Coughlin didn't do better, it's usually a smooth transition from A/F to TF if you put the time in, which he did. It's all situational.

Correct me if I am wrong but Troy Jr went from Super Comp to Promod for a short time then to Top Fuel. He then stepped back and went A/Fuel and did pretty well.
