May 28, 2007 - Elma, NY – Joe Mulligan 6.381 at 230.65, Matt Hagan 6.214 at 228.23 and Mike Janis 6.097 at 235.89. What do all of theses drivers have in common? Jan-Cen Motorsports Power and they are all qualified for the Inaugural IHRA -Skull Shine- Sooner Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma.
Two Time IHRA Pro Modified World Champion, Mike Janis, runs the Jan-Cen Motorsports engine shop. Mike along with his assistant Kevin Peters and Mike's eldest son, Mike Jr. spend endless hours researching and developing new parts and ideas perfecting them for their customers. "Along with myself, both Joe and Matt are running combinations we've developed in house at Jan-Cen. Our car serves as a research bed for our customers. We try new things on our car and our in house dyno. When we find something that works we perfect it and pass the performance on to our customers. At this event we're basically all running the same set up and I think we'll all do pretty well," said Janis.
"My guys at Jan-Cen have been working hard to find as much power in our Pro Mod combo as they can. I feel we have one of the most powerful engine programs in the sport and being able to qualify these three cars and set a new track speed record at this event seems proves that," said Two Time Champ Mike Janis.
The inaugural Skull Shine Sooner Nationals presented by Wolverine Boots and Academy Sports and Outdoors at Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, OK. have been rescheduled due to in climate weather. Elimination Rounds have been scheduled for June 23 rd.
