Didn't see this coming but I'm glad it did.

I am glad they did something positive...I give the NHRA a lot of credit they are willing to try anything to improve drag racing and attract more fans.
Not saying that is a bad thing, the desired end result is what is important. After months of back-and-forth, NHRA’s executive team and the famed outlaw racer came to an understanding
Face it Chief is the new Big Willie Robinson.
I personally don't see how running a ProMod car on the street is going to work.
I'm expecting this whole Outlaw thing eventually moving to the track.
The whole "track" scene would have to change to make that happen. Like Big Willie's track when it opened Friday evening and ran thru Sunday. As these guys do not need clocks, a tree, etc. communities should look at all night races at airports, ect. Once you start applying NHRA rules it's a deal breaker.Face it Chief is the new Big Willie Robinson.

this isn't really street racing. I remember street racing as being guys with street legal cars driving to a spot, having a run at it, and bailing before the cops showed. SO features pretty serious race cars being towed to an abandoned road, some in pretty nice trailers, unloading, and conducting an event. .
A true ProMod car in Top tune can't hardly make it down a prepped track. Now take that same car and try running it down a street.
