I dont know what brand of oil that the Pro Stock guys use specifically, but I do know that they use a 0 weight oil measured in centistokes that is supposed to reduce crankcase windage and pumping losses from the rings trying to scrape off the heavy oil from the walls of the cylinders....All of them swear by it too.

If it is the same stuff they sale.... i prefer the oils the VP Racing fuels sale.....

This is from the original article:

"Gibbs Racing says it makes up for some of its research costs by selling its own branded oil to amateur auto racers. The team's officials admit it's not the same oil the team's drivers use: Their formula is a secret combination of its retail brands."

Gibbs oil is good stuff-we use it on the dyno + suggest it to customers. Gibbs doesnt have any oilwells or refineries--its made by a small company whos name you'd probably reconize.
The oil company did most of its r+d with another cup team-but could never come up with a marketing agreement-so they went to Gibbs.

When I was at the open at Atco a week or two ago I got into a conversation with a top sportsman crew chief and he said thats the best stuff to use, if you can afford it though. Someone else said its worth 2 hundredths in certain applications, weather or not thats true I dont know but it sounds like good stuff.
