IndyCar race in DC

So this is NOT a political post. But Trump has signed an order for Roger Penske to put on an Indycar race this year through the streets of DC in honor of the 250th year of the USA. Pretty cool deal. I think it's The Freedom 250. Got me thinking, while we're celebrating 75 years of the NHRA this year, it would be cool to do something similar in addition, to help celebrate America's 250th. I know there have been nitro exhibitions on Woodward Ave. in Detroit in the past, maybe something similar on a slightly bigger scale? IMO, as far as motorsports go, none are more American than drag racing.

The surprising thing about the Indycar in DC event is that except for travel, food and good luck finding a hotel, it’s supposedly free admission for all. “190 mph down Pennsylvania Avenue!” The roads are gonna have to be all fixed up for that…

Who better than John Force Racing and Rahal Motorsports to put on a display of drag racing right on the middle of the DC event?
